The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official notification for the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs XV) 2026, inviting applications for Officers (Scale I, II & III) and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) across 28 Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) in India. Online registration begins on 1 September 2026. Here is a complete breakdown of vacancies, eligibility, exam pattern, important dates and fees.
IBPS conducts this recruitment on behalf of participating RRBs across India as an annual exercise. Candidates can apply for only one post in the officer's cadre (Scale I, II or III) but may additionally apply for the Office Assistant post, paying separate application fees for each post.

Vacancies are indicative and category-wise, distributed across 28 participating RRBs (Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal).
State-wise indicative vacancies range from a handful (Manipur, Nagaland) to over 1,200 (Uttar Pradesh) and 900 (Andhra Pradesh). The combined indicative total across reporting states works out to roughly 8,100+ vacancies, with reservation for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen (ESM/DESM) categories in each state.
Indicative vacancies again vary by state — from single digits in smaller states to over 600 in Gujarat and over 400 in Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh — totalling an indicative 4,200+ vacancies, with the same category-wise reservation structure.
Vacancies are also notified separately for Officer Scale II (General Banking Officer and Specialist Officers — IT Officer, Chartered Accountant, Law Officer, Treasury Manager, Marketing Officer, Agricultural Officer) and Officer Scale III (Senior Manager) across the same 28 RRBs.
Note: Vacancies are indicative and may change based on actual requirements reported by RRBs at the time of provisional allotment. Full state-wise and category-wise numbers are available in Annexure I of the official notification.
Candidates must be a citizen of India.

All qualifications must be from a recognised university/institution, with results declared on or before 21.09.2026.

For every wrong answer in the objective tests, 0.25 marks (one-fourth) will be deducted. No penalty applies to unattempted questions.
Interviews for officer posts will be coordinated by the Nodal RRBs with the assistance of NABARD and IBPS, tentatively in January/February 2027.
